The famous codQcup has once again announced it will be opening its doors to the top Call of Duty 4 teams around the world. This is the second part of the codQcup, which will span for the remainder of March leading into April. Last month we saw top teams battle it out to take home the prizes, with SK-Gaming beating TEK9 in the finals back in January.

codQcup has already begun signups and has stated that the doors will close on the 24th March, with games promptly starting on the 26th March. No prizes have been announced of yet, but with only a few days left before signups close, codQcup must be ready to release what is up for grabs.

With 286 teams being accepted into the cup and 32 teams going straight through to the group stage, this cup is bound to be a big one. The groupstages will begin with 32 groups overall, along with 5 teams within each group. 256 teams will be fighting through the Qualification round which will be fought over three rounds of one game, and the winner will join a total of 160 teams in the Groupstage.

Once groupstages have finished, the top standing team in each group will progress straight to the playoffs, and the second standing team in each group will enter the Single Elimination round two. Teams standing at position three and four in each group will go to the Single Elimination round one games, which will be best of three, and the winning teams will go on to play the second standing teams in Single Elimination round two. The winners will then move onto the Playoffs which consists of 64 teams and will be battled out between best of three rounds.

Some rule changes have been made since the last codQcup back in january, due to feedback from the community, these rule changes include:

- AWP sniper fix will be used.
- 5v5 all the time. Meaning no 4v5 kniferound if the opponent do not agree on it. This have also led to that we have increased the minutes before a team can claim a forfeit to 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes that we had before.
- Timeouts: Each team will have one timeout per map when ever they would like to and for any reason, but do not lame around taking timeouts just to go take a piss.
- SMG's will be limited to three.
- We will probably bring in mp_ravens in the playoffs.
