The G7 Teams exist to 'improve professionalism and transparency in all areas within Electronic Esports'. In a bid to reward the achievements of the teams, aid comparisons and reporting, the G7 have released their official open ranking system.

With this new ranking, organizations will be able to:

#1 Know exactly where to place in a tournament to retain their current positions
#2 Predict possible outcomes of a tournament
#3 Create more accurate seeds
#4 Know which events are the most competitive and therefore more valuable
